Why we picked it

Our first recommendation for a traveller choosing their first Lindblad Alaska expedition. The 100-guest ships keep the experience intimate, while the route brings together fjords, island shores and Glacier Bay. Choose this for time exploring with naturalists, a varied outdoor programme and an introduction to Alaska’s marine wildlife.

Best for

First-time Alaska expedition travellers who value wildlife, learning and active exploration.

The standout

A full day in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve or its outer coast, plus an undersea specialist.

Bear in mind

The final route follows weather, wildlife and access. Glacier Bay’s outer coast may replace the park programme.
