Why we picked it

Choose this voyage when Hubbard Glacier is a priority and you want an active programme around it. The journey links British Columbia’s Inside Passage with Alaska’s rainforest shores and glacier country. Greg Mortimer adds generous observation spaces and modern expedition facilities to the experience.

Best for

Travellers wanting kayaking, Zodiac exploration and forest walks alongside a major glacier visit.

The standout

Hubbard Glacier, reached through Yakutat Bay, with a possible Zodiac outing when ice allows.

Bear in mind

The Gulf of Alaska brings exposed-water sailing. Conditions determine the approach to Hubbard and whether a Zodiac outing is possible.
