Treasures of the Inside Passage: Alaska & British Columbia
A longer journey through Alaska, British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest, combining wilderness exploration with coastal communities.
Personal advice · No obligation · No advisory fees
Why we picked it
Our choice for travellers with more time who want to connect Alaska with the wider Inside Passage. The longer route gives space to British Columbia’s islands, First Nations cultural encounters and the Pacific Northwest as well as Alaska’s wildlife and glacier scenery. The right departure matters: the 13-day and 14-day programmes visit different places.
Travellers wanting a substantial Alaska and British Columbia journey with nature and culture.
A 100-guest ship, First Nations cultural experiences and a choice of two distinct route lengths.
Glacier Bay is part of the 14-day itinerary; Prince Rupert is part of the 13-day itinerary. They are not interchangeable.

Activities and exploration
Guided hiking, kayaking, Zodiac outings, wildlife searching and photography guidance complement community visits. Lindblad mentions a chance of northern lights; treat this as a possibility on darker shoulder-season nights, never a promised experience.
Your ship: National Geographic Venture / National Geographic Quest
National Geographic Venture and National Geographic Quest each carry 100 guests in 50 cabins. These sister ships are designed for coastal exploration, with spaces for naturalist presentations, observation and preparing for outings. Venture has a mudroom, lounge, fitness centre and an open Bridge policy. The operating ship is identified for every departure above.
We help you compare the available cabin categories, layout and location for your chosen sailing.
Life on board
Return from shore to a relaxed lounge, open-seating dining and spaces to swap stories with your expedition team. These sister ships share a coastal expedition design; photographs below identify the ship or shared facility shown.
